An Elevated Take on Everyday Living
When designer Lisa Mackee set out to build her own home, the goal was clear: a striking barn-style home inspired by the elegance of Japanese and Scandinavian design. The result is Naya Haus, a bold, black structure perched dramatically on a hillside, blending aesthetics with practical sustainability.
“We really wanted to create a big black barn, and the LYSAGHT ENSEAM® was just the perfect cladding for that.”
Featured in Season 7 of Australia ByDesign, Naya Haus captures the essence of modern Australian living, resilient, resourceful, and refined.
The Power of Profile
Naya Haus’s clean, geometric form is wrapped entirely in LYSAGHT ENSEAM®, chosen not only for its crisp lines but its long-term durability.
“It’s all about sustainability and maintenance,” says Lisa. “The benefit of the ENSEAM® cladding is it’s all pre-finished. Ready to go. Stick it out there and it’s going for many, many years to come.”
Given the home’s complex site, built into the side of a hill requiring five levels of scaffolding, this low-maintenance finish was critical.
