A roundup of the 2026 Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards winners across every category, from Overall Winner Larnangurrak (Our Place) to the inaugural Resilient Building Design and Student awards, each realised in LYSAGHT® steel

The 2026 Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards celebrate the best of Australian architecture, with projects spanning the country and the full breadth of design from a corporate and community centre built on Country to an off-grid eco-tourism development airlifted into the desert. Across every category, the judges looked for design that is technically resolved and deeply connected to its place, climate and community, with LYSAGHT® steel helping shape each result.
This year also introduced a new category, the Resilient Building Design Award, recognising projects designed to endure and adapt in a changing climate.
"The 2026 field showed how far Australian design has come in putting place, culture and performance first. From a community centre shaped on Country to a student scheme resolved like a built project, these winners prove that steel can carry both meaning and rigour." - The 2026 judging panel
