Announcing the Winners of the Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards 2024

Celebrating the best in Australian design and architecture, from regional wonders to commercial innovation.

The Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards 2024 have come to a close, showcasing a diverse range of entries from across Australia. From urban centres to regional areas, this year's competition featured remarkable designs leaving an impact on Australia’s architectural landscape.

Among these outstanding entries, the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub by Content Studio stood out, scoring the highest of any project. Located in Glenrowan, Victoria, this unique facility blends modern architecture with historical storytelling, paying tribute to the infamous bushranger’s legacy. The design incorporates LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® steel, echoing the iconic armour of the Kelly gang, while its sustainable features—such as renewable energy and charred hardwood cladding—connect seamlessly with the rugged landscape. The Hub's design mesmerised judges with its balance of form, purpose, and sustainability, and the winning architects have won a trip for two to the World Architecture Festival in Singapore.

This year’s winners have set the benchmark for Australian design, with each project demonstrating excellence in their category. "The level of creativity and innovation in this year's entries was truly outstanding, making the judging process incredibly challenging," a Lysaght spokesperson shared. "We congratulate all participants for pushing the boundaries of design and showcasing the versatility of LYSAGHT® products."
