Lysaght is the sole steel supplier for Australia’s leading wholesale shed company, Now Buildings. The collaboration ensures customers that all Now Buildings sheds are 100% Australian-made and owned, designed for ultimate durability in any rural environment.
Lysaght has been working with Now Buildings since 2008 to supply agricultural enterprises across the country with farm and industrial sheds for a range of purposes. Since then, the collaboration has resulted in 7000 completed projects, significantly expanding Lysaght’s national scale and thereby cementing its dominance in the agricultural landscape.
Agriculture plays a major role in Australia’s environment and economy, accounting for 57% of land use, 68% of water consumption, and 12% of goods and services exports. Sheds contribute to the industry’s productivity outputs, making them integral to preserving Australia’s commitment to natural resource stewardship.

The collaboration’s feature project to date is a custom-designed grain storage shed in Richmond, QLD, built in2026. At a total of 5,220sqm of floor space, this is Now Buildings’ largest shed designed to date.

While primarily designed for grain storage, the shed is currently used to house a combination of road vehicles (trucks), heavy machinery and even light aircraft, demonstrating the flexibility that well-designed large-scale sheds can provide.
